Internet News Alert - June 1, 2008 - A fire and explosion in Houston Texas late Saturday destroyed one of the larger web hosting centers in the US. As a result many web sites may not be accessible until repairs can be made. 'The Planet' reports they are working round the clock. Totally Trotwood is not directly affected since we are hosted in the Dayton Ohio area. However you may occasionally experience slow load times since some of our support services have been affected.
UPDATE Monday June 2, 2008- Over the past 24 hours The Planet has revived 6,000 servers with 3,000 more still not operating. Most of the hosted web sites have been temporarily been moved to other locations until repairs are complete but some have not been so lucky. The Planet hopes to have the remaining repairs complete by June 7. Over 7,000 web sites were affected by the outage. UPDATE June 6, The center appears to be 99% operational!.
Brandon Moore also earned a 4.22 GPA and is co-valedictorian for the class of 2008. Moore will study pre-med under a football scholarship at the University of Michigan. He is a member of the National Honors Society and the district Academic Team.
