Trotwood Police
received the Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth Annual Award
for their efforts to remedy an unhealthy domestic situation for a local youth.

June 6th United Way's Day Of Action brought volunteers to Madison Park. Kelly
Goldsmith and Pam Hall of Deloitte took a day off from the office to help create
the Born Interactive Trail on the walkway.
Trotwood Mayor
Darreyl Davis (right) congratulates Scott Norman after swearing him in as
the newest police officer to join the Trotwood Police Department. Norman brings
11 years experience as a county sheriff.

Camela Douglass
leads an exercise class in her new Mo Better Me studio this week. Douglass
offers Zumba, and other dance exercise classes integrated with lifestyle changing
programs at 2534 Shiloh Springs Rd.
High
school students in the Dayton Urban League Youth Employment Program chipped
in at Madison Park too. They painted all the picnic shelters along Wolf Creek.
Trotwood firefighters closed down Union Road Friday afternoon after this ammonia
fertilizer tank was discovered leaking near the high school. Fireman Andy Mangeot
directs resident notification efforts. The farmer was located and the tank was
quickly sealed.
Mike Shaw crossed
the finish line to win the 4x200 Relay at the Nike Nationals in Greensboro
NC on Friday. The Rams won 3 Gold medals (see stats below left). For live
